Beautiful Port Hacking has seen two Corsair 760 and a Corsair 31 racing at both Cronulla Sailing Club and Royal Motor yacht Club and having some close racing.
The Wednesday twilights see the tris racing amongst a big fleet of monos and doing very well against the big 40ft + boats.
On Saturdays we have been doing the Bate Bay offshore races and have been having some fun flying spinnakers and playing with tactics but the end results have seen the three tris doing very well against each other.
Opportunities exist for interested sailors to crew on these boats during the winter Wednesday and Saturday races so please drop me a line on and we will arrange
The Corsair sailors in Australia will be growing with a new Corsair 760R arriving for Pittwater later this year and early next year will see a Corsair 880 in Brisbane and also one in Jervis Bay so it augers well for these great boats. If you have never sailed on a trimaran then give it a go as I guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised at how well they sail, the stability and the room.
