This stunning Farrier F-36 trimaran was designed by multihull designer Ian Farrier and lovingly built by John, the current owner on the premises of Adam Stafford (shipwright and boat builder). It was commissioned in 2010 and “Enough Rope” is moored in the beautiful Moruya river on the NSW south coast.
The design began as an F-36 but was stretched with Ian Farrier’s approval. The aft sections were extended to make the boat 39ft 11in overall. This increased the length of the aft cabin, enabling the incorporation of a large king size berth and improving the water exit at the transom for reduced drag. Other enhancements include offset companion way to the aft cabin, a “hammerhead” anchor platform at the bow providing good working area for anchor deployment, a swing keel along with kick up rudder allowing very shallow water to be navigated.
The boat is set up for cruising with wind vane steering complemented by an auto pilot, weather instruments, radar, screecher with removable prodder, Spectra 150 watermaker, very large Rocna anchor with 75m chain and two spare anchors with chain, two 80 watt solar panels, a wind generator and brand new batteries along with many spares and tools. The head is a composting system. The boat has had a recent repaint in polyurethane, new trampolines, a full set of manuals, Coastal navigation atlases and maps and has just been antifouled making it ready to go.
John has cruised the east coats of Australia including two trips to Tasmania and has also sailed the boat single handed on many of the short coastal hops and the boat has Australian Registration for international use.
